Weather Source SQL Developer
Role: SQL Developer
Location: US (remote) or On-site in Salem, NH
Job Type: Full Time
Weather Source is seeking a dedicated SQL Developer to join our fast growing company. As a SQL Developer you will work as part of a broader team to design and create database structures suitable for quickly and efficiently storing and retrieving relevant data for company projects.
You will be expected to develop fast and performant database queries, performing database maintenance tasks and ensuring an even load distribution as required. Your duties will include following best database design and development practices, as well as staying up-to-date with all relevant data security procedures and complying with all applicable data protection legislation.
- 3-5 years of experience as an SQL Developer.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/software development related degree or STEM degree.
- Proficient with Python and other general-purpose programming languages.
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux.
- Knowledge of one or more SQL variants, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- The ability to create fast and efficient database queries, including joining and cross-referencing cells from several tables.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with Snowflake SQL and/or SQL Development in GCP.
- Prefer that you are able to work in our offices at Salem NH, exceptional candidates may be able to work remotely.
- STEM background and an interest in weather.
